Queensland Nightlife Economy Commissioner John “JC” Collins joined Jason Matthews on 4BC Mornings to detail the state’s new Nightlife Economy Action Plan, which aims to overhaul outdated 1992 liquor laws, cut red tape, review sound limits, and trial extended trading hours ahead of the 2032 Olympics.

JC addressed community safety worries by explaining how staggered venue exits reduce alcohol-fuelled violence, highlighting economic benefits for local music and shift workers, and playfully brushing off host Jason’s plea for a Powderfinger reunion.
