QLD Coach Billy Slater has reflected on several of his key selections which helped shaped the Maroons State of Origin series victory, saying he backed his gut and relied on the opinions of those close to him.

“When you’re in a position like I am with the Queensland team, you’ve got to trust yourself and you’ve got to listen to yourself,” Slater said.
