‘Failure’: Federal government’s bid to build more homes by 2029 behind schedule
Research by the Institute of Public Affairs has found the federal government is behind on its National Housing Accord.
Director of research at the IPA Morgan Begg says the plan to build 1.2 million homes by 2029 has fallen behind by around 55,000 homes.
“It has missed its target every single month throughout the first year, so on every metric, this has been a failure,” he said.
