Dairy cows washed away in NSW floods

As the recovery effort begins after the New South Wales Mid-North Coast’s recent flooding disaster, the dairy industry warns shortages are likely.

Livestock were washed away as the Manning River rose to record levels, while farmers on the Belmore River describe the conditions as diabolical.

Producers in the region have still been struggling to recover from Ex-Cyclone Alfred in March.

Rural Reporter Toby Gough spoke with EastAusmilk Chief Executive Eric Danzi about how the region is faring after the latest disaster.
