At just 18 years of age, Rowan Tong-Law was a first-year university student with the world at his feet, but last year, he was dealt a devastating blow after being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a rare form of cancer affecting the blood and bone marrow.

Rowan’s mother Bronwyn Tong said to Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive “We’ve been very fortunate that we live where we do and can receive the care we have but the community rallying behind us and behind Rowan’s search for a stem cell has been incredible.”

“A stem cell donation, it’s incredible and it could basically save his life and there’s so many people in Australia requiring this same stem cell transplant,” Tong said on 4BC Drive.
