‘Quite and honour’: Lieutenant to pilot Super Hornet over Brisbane for Anzac Day

Dean Miller

Tomorrow, Super Hornets and Growlers will roar over Brisbane in tribute to Australians and New Zealanders who served.

Lieutenant Peter Bergin from 1 Squadron, based at RAAF Amberley near Ipswich, will be flying the Super Hornet over Brisbane.

Lieutenant Bergin told Dean Miller on 4BC Afternoons. “It’s quite an honour to put on the Air Force uniform and to put on a flight suit every day.”

“I have to pinch myself sometimes that they trust us to be able to fly a Super Hornet around the city, and potentially in conflict for our nation as well,” Lieutenant Bergin continued.
