​Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott has shared his thoughts on Peter Dutton’s election campaign so far.

Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott told Ben Davis on 4BC Mornings, “I think Peter is doing a great job, and I know because I worked with him for the best part of a quarter century.”

“I know that if Peter Dutton is elected, he’ll be a Prime Minister in the mould of John Howard, and that’s exactly what we need now.”

“We need a long, stable, settled and sensible prime ministership, and that’s what I hope Peter Dutton will give Australia,” Tony Abbott continued.
