‘Just let the boys play’: Ben Hunt on the NRL’s high tackle crackdown

The 2nd-placed Broncos take on the Sydney Roosters at Suncorp Stadium tonight in a bid to hold their position at the top of the ladder.

Captain Adam Reynolds is right to play, in a huge boost for the club.

In regards to the NRL’s crackdown on high tackles, Broncos half and club legend Ben Hunt told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “They’re [referees] getting told if there’s any contact with the head, it has to be a penalty, so they’re just doing their job, so it’s not on them.”

“But there’s a lot of them that are slightly grazing someone’s chin or something like that, and it’s just slowing the game down too much, just let the boys play,” Ben Hunt said.
