A new app is being touted as an alternative to a social media ban for those under 16, which will ensure kids are working for screen time.

Screencoach co-founder Steph Karkis says older politicians fail to understand social media is a “way of life” for Aussie teenagers and children.

“We love devices and we think they have a lot to offer … the real problem that we see is actually too much screen time,” she said.
