Junior Doctors Head to the Bush

Rural communities are being encouraged to welcome the influx of junior doctors into their local towns over the coming weeks.

Working in the bush gives interns and medical trainees invaluable exposure to the profession along with a huge amount of hands-on involvement.

Rural reporter Georgia Kondek spoke with Rural Doctors Association of Australia Chief Executive Peta Rutherford, about how this experience is vital to attracting young doctors into the bush long-term.
