Nissan’s electrified Qashqai to be sold exclusively on-line

The latest small Nissan Qashqai SUV in four models has been very well received
since its arrival earlier this year. Nissan Australia will now introduce an electrified
version, however unlike the petrol models the Nissan Qashqai e-POWER will be
sold exclusively on-line at a set price. Pricing for the U.K, produced Qashqai e-
POWER is expected late this month with deliveries in the first quarter of next
year. After online sales of the first shipment are exhausted the Qashqai e POWER
will be marketed as normal through Nissan’s dealership network. Nissan
suggests the dual on-line and traditional dealer-based retail model has been very
well received by consumers with initial demand for the Qashqai e-POWER very
high. It will shortly introduce an online stock locater and eventually hopes to
upgrade its website to allow any vehicle in its range to be completely purchased
on-line including trade-in valuations and financing options.
