As we come into the warmer months there has been news that the Rural Fire Service is behind on Hazard Reduction Burns. This could become a major issue as the weather starts to dry out.

Professor Matthew England told John Stanley that the Bureau of Meteorology might not want to jump to the assumption that El Nino will happen, even if the balance of evidence says it is on the way.
