Lexus eyes off large LM People Mover for the Australian market

A large people mover is on the agenda for Lexus Australia later this year. The multi-seat luxury Lexus LM firmly targeting the tourist industry as well as private owners seeking luxury family transport. The LM will be available in two hybrid variants, the LM 350h due in the fourth quarter and the LM 500h slated for launch in the first quarter next year. Both models will feature an electrically-adjustable comfort suspension while drivetrains will be shared with the new RX SUV – the LM 350h utilising a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors, the LM 500h featuring a turbocharged version of the same drivetrain. This luxuriously equipped Lexus people mover features an accentuated version of the brands spindle grille that likens the frontal appearance to that of a large period locomotive with a cow catcher attached.
