Seven News’ Europe Bureau Chief Hugh Whitfield joined John Stanley to look back on the history of Rolf Harris’.

Harris’ passing was confirmed to the PA news agency by a registrar at Maidenhead Town Hall, and a subsequent statement was released by his family, saying “This is to confirm that Rolf Harris recently died peacefully surrounded by family and friends and has now been laid to rest. They ask that you respect their privacy. No further comment will be made.”

Convicted paedophile and disgraced former entertainer Rolf Harris has died at the age of 93.

Australian-born Harris was one of the UK’s biggest TV stars before he was jailed for grooming and assaulting young girls including a childhood friend of his daughter and an autograph hunter, in 2014.

His death was confirmed by a registrar at the town hall in Maidenhead, where he lived.
