A Toowoomba service station owner has been left with sore ribs and cuts to his hands after trying to stop two young people taking off with stolen fuel.

Co-owner of the Gowrie One Stop Convenience Centre Clint Weber jumped on top of the bonnet of the stolen car after it filled up and drove off yesterday.
