Potentially severe storms and heavy rainfall impacting multiple regions across Queensland, making for a wet and wild day for parts of the state.

Storms are expected to lash areas including the Southern and Darling Downs, with the Bureau of Meteorology warning of potentially destructive winds and potential hail.

The forecast isn’t as severe in Brisbane, with only heavy rains expected but Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson Patch Clapp told Luke Bradnam storms could head our way later this evening.
