Liberal Party will meet next week to decide stance on Voice referendum

The Liberal Party will meet next week to decide its stance on the newly-revealed wording for this year’s Voice referendum.
The federal government this morning confirmed it’s locked in its referendum question and proposed amendment to the Constitution.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said if the referendum vote is successful, the Voice will advise parliament and executive government on issues affecting Indigenous people.
But governments won’t have to accept its advice and the body will not have any spending power.
Opposition leader Peter Dutton told Ray Hadley his party will meet next week to decide its stance.
