Residents in parts of Oxley are being urged to stay inside as a police operation continues.

An emergency declaration was declared earlier today, encompassing Portal Street, Dowding Street, and Greenview Street.

Oxley resident Waseef Arshad told Neil Breen he was at home when the situation began to unfold.

“I heard some running down my driveway, … so I quickly locked the back door and the front door and opened up my cameras.”
