Chris ‘Choppy’ Close expects the Dolphins to play “very well” this week off the back of their fairytale debut against the Roosters. 

The NRL’s newest team will face the Raiders at Redcliffe on Saturday afternoon.

Choppy told Laurel, Gary & Mark while he doesn’t know whether the Dolphins will win, he’s confident they’ll repeat last week’s performance.

“It was one of the proudest moments of my life, to be there at the game, at full time, when the Dophins really stamped their footprint into the concrete of NRL history,” he said.

“Felise Kaufusi, he turned into a leader again. He rebirthed himself in that game and he was absolutely on fire, smashing blokes from one side of the park to the other.

“The guys played very much in line with that.”
