Man charged with murder over the death of Toyah Cordingley

MML

Police have charged Rajwinder Singh with murder over the death of Toyah Cordingley in far north Queensland in 2018.

Mr Singh, 38, arrived in Cairns earlier today, following a lengthy extradition from India, via Melbourne.

He’s accused of killing Toyah Cordingley on Wangetti Beach and fleeing the country in the days after.

He has previously denied any involvement in Toyah’s death.

Douglas Shire Mayor Michael Kerr told Laurel, Gary & Mark the tight-knight Cairns community will continue to fight for justice.

“There’s new stickers, just been out recently, ‘Justice for Toyah’, and you know, that’s what the community wants.”
