Legendary composer Burt Bacharach dead at 94

Legendary composer and songwriter Burt Bacharach has died at the age of 94. 

Bacharach is widely known as one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century, behind more than 500 songs, including Walk on By and I Say A Little Prayer.

He worked with the likes of Tom Jones, Neil Diamond and Dionne Warwick, with his work even covered by Elvis and The Beatles.

He was honoured with six Grammys and three Oscars over the course of his 70-year-long career.

The composer died of natural causes in his Los Angeles home.

Laurel, Gary & Mark had previously interviewed Bacharach when he was 86.
