‘No word of a lie’: Neil Breen tipped off to the date of The Voice referendum
A number of 4BC listeners say they have received correspondence from the Australian Electoral Commission about date of the Indigenous Voice referendum.
Legislation will be introduced into parliament next month, but the federal government hasn’t publicly revealed the date of the vote about a constitutionally enshrined First Nations Voice to parliament.
David says his wife works for the AEC’s polling booths during elections, and she received an email about an expression of interest to work for a referendum due for August 26.
“She has got a letter via email … for an expression of interest for a referendum that is happening on 26 August,” he told Neil Breen.
“No word of a lie.”
Other callers backed up his claim.
