The NSW pokies reform Queensland should consider

neil breen

All poker machines in NSW will be made cashless within the next five years if the Perrotet government is re-elected in March.

Pubs and clubs will be offered no-interest loans to buy the new machines and grants will be made available to help them make up for any lost income, under a major reform unveiled by Premier Dominic Perrotet.

Neil Breen says it’s time Queensland investigated a similar plan.

“When movements happen … they end up happening here as well and quite often we are behind the eight ball in Queensland.”

Neil has welcomed the idea.

“I think it’s something we should definitely think about in Queensland,” he said.
