It’s been suggested that up to 15 per cent of workers will call in sick tomorrow.

Graham Wynn from Superior People Recruitment told Laurel, Gary & Mark workers should be reminded that employers can catch them out.

“When we’re interviewing job-seekers and they say at the last minute, ‘Sorry, something cropped up, can’t make the interview’, we check their Facebook page and they’re at the beach.

“If you say you’re going to be sick, do not post anything on social media on that day because we and your bosses will see it!.”
