Cutting costs and emissions in beef production

A new tool is being developed to cut costs and greenhouse gas emissions within the meat industry.

Researchers have mapped out the most efficient locations for producing beef based on the size of the land, what feed is available, and goals aimed at reducing emissions or costs.

Rural reporter Brady Evans caught up with the University of Queensland’s Adam Castonguay who is hoping the data could be used by governments to form new policy.
