Woman charged with murder, arson after shed fire deaths

A young Queensland woman has been charged with murder after a father and daughter were killed in a shed fire.
Todd Mooney and his 10-year-old daughter Kirra were found dead following a fire at a Biggenden property just days before Christmas.
Mr Mooney’s fiancé and Kirra’s mother, Bec Hansen, was working at a bakery run by the couple when the fire first started around noon on December 20.
They were set to be married at the property, where Mr Mooney and Ms Hansen live, on December 28.
Police today revealed a 24-year-old woman who was not known to the family has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of arson.
She will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on January 7.
Meanwhile, investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen a white Holden Barina wagon with a solar panel on its roof in the area to come forward.
A GoFundMe has been started by Ms Hansen’s brother, Troy, to help “lighten the load of such a terrible tragedy”.
It has now raised more than $4,500 for the family.
