Peter Ford has wrapped up 2022’s biggest entertainment stories.

The passing of celebrities and icons such as Shane Warne, Judith Durham and Olivia Newton-John were among the most impactful.

“I guess in one sense the biggest story of the year everyone would agree was the Oscars slap, to see that play out on live television, people weren’t sure if it was some sort of comedy skit,” he told Spencer Howson on 4BC Breakfast.

But there were some other major newsmakers in the celebrity world.

“When you mention some of those things like the Oscars slap, this always happens this time of year when you see on TV or hear on radio these review segments, you go ‘Oh was that this year?!’ You lose track!” Spencer said.
