The UK will have its third Prime Minister in four months, as Rishi Sunak prepares to take over the top job.

His two leadership rivals Boris Johnson and Penny Mordaunt both pulled out of the race.

UK correspondent Adam Gilchrist says he was named as the UK’s new leader on the first day of Diwali.

“Bear in mid the first leadership contest took six weeks, this one took four days and in the end wasn’t a contest,” he told Laurel, Gary and Mark.

He is the first Hindu prime minister in history.
