A truck driver is being treated for serious head, spinal and pelvic injuries in hospital after a crash involving a crane truck in Brisbane’s north.

Emergency services were called to the Gateway Motorway at Bald Hills just after 8.30 this morning.

The incident caused the closure of northbound lanes for some time as responders attempted to free the man.
