The Hollywood sign is getting a makeover in preparation for its 100th birthday next year. 

The giant letters, which once read ‘Hollywoodland’, will be cleaned and repainted in an eight-week process.

“Every once and while, we have to give it a makeover, give it a fresh coat of paint, make sure it’s not rusting away,” Hollywood Sign trust chair Jeff Zarrinnam told Laurel, Gary & Mark.
