North Queensland Cowboys fullback Scott Drinkwater says the players are feeling excited and confident heading into the finals series.

But he’s expecting the standards to be very high.

“The speed of the game, obviously saying it’s going to be a lot faster, you’re going to be a lot more fatigued, the small moments of the game are the ones that turn into the big moments of the game,” he told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports.

He said they’ve honed in on their defense this year.
