Andrew Lofthouse’s most prominent Ekka memory may not be the usual picture, but it’s extraordinary in its own right.

The television presenter, along with his co-host Melissa Downes, this morning told Laurel, Gary & Mark his most remarkable Ekka story.

“We were talking about memories of the Ekka,” he said. “A musical memory that I have from, it would be ’77.”

“I can still see that picture. Seeing on a chalkboard here, ‘Elvis is Dead’.”
