David Mead hangs up the boots after stellar NRL career

David Mead has called time on his illustrious NRL career, saying he’s grateful for the opportunities he’s been afforded along the way.
He told Peter Psaltis says it’s started to take a toll physically and mentally, after racking up 171 games in the NRL.
He knew at the Pacific Test it would be his last, and today confirmed he was also retiring from NRL.
“In terms of going out and competing, and trying to improve, the fire wasn’t there anymore.”
