A woman in the US has made a peculiar discovery under the base insert of a Coach bag she thrifted for $6.99. 

Lynora, who goes by the username @marthainfused on TikTok uploaded the now-viral video documenting her find last week.

She tells viewers she purchased the designer handbag from a Goodwill store with the intention of cleaning it up.

But when she attempted to remove the base insert, she uncovered an envelope filled with cash and a handwritten letter.

The original owner, Martha, explained she knew her children would give her things away when she died, so she had decided to hide their inheritance in her favourite belongings.

“Check your mother’s purses from now on, that’s the moral of the story!” Laurel told Gary and Mark.
