Reform program reportedly acted as ‘school of crime’ for young offenders
A probation program meant to reform Queensland’s juvenile criminals has reportedly facilitated participants committing crimes together.
A person within the justice system has told senior Nine News reporter Tim Arvier a young offender placed in the program has allegedly gone on to commit multiple drug offences.
“He was arrested, I’m told, with other young offenders who he’d been on this program with,” Arvier relayed to Ray Hadley.
“Clearly, it’s almost acted as this school of crime, if this is what has happened, as what these people have told me.
“They have no reason to lie about this.”
