A barbershop in Brisbane’s east has been gutted by a suspicious fire overnight. 

Emergency services arrived at the Black Canvas Barbershop at Carina after 1.30 this morning to find it well alight.

While the flames were doused relatively quickly, the smoke is believed to have caused damage both to the barbershop and neighbouring businesses.

There are reports the shop is owned by an alleged Gold Coast Mongols bikie.

Police are calling on anyone who may have seen suspicious activity to come forward.
