An investigation is underway after two bodies were found in a Sunshine Coast home overnight.

At around 6.30pm, police were called to the home on Teal Street at Caloundra West to perform a welfare check.

The attending officers discovered the bodies of a man and woman that had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations are ongoing.

Police don’t believe anyone else was involved in the incident.
