Something that jumped out at me that I wanted to raise with you this morning…

I noticed this week that the celebrants all said ‘you may kiss the bride’.. but one of grooms then asked the bride’s permission….and she said ‘yes’.

So, in this post #metoo era, is that how it should be? Rather than the celebrant – often an older man – telling the groom – another man – that he is allowed to kiss the woman?

I had never thought about it before, but now I’m thinking that if I were to have my time again, I would suggest not having the celebrant tell me it was okay to kiss my bride.
