Menindee Lake comes back to life
Michael speaks with Greg Hill, Central Darling Shire Council General Manager, about the Menindee Lakes enjoying a remarkable comeback as billions of litres of water flowed into its lakes and rivers following 2021 floods.
The Northern NSW community has welcomed the return of substantial water flows to the region, fed by the Darling River and its catchments across NSW and Queensland, following prolonged drought.
Locals say the birds have already arrived and that they are looking forward to tourists following.
