Jodi McKay, NSW Labor Leader & Member for Strathfield, sits down with Clinton Maynard for an in-depth chat about her life and career.
Born in Gloucester, New South Wales, Ms. McKay began her career as a journalist, eventually becoming a news anchor for NBN Television and was among the first Australian news presenters to cover the September 11 attacks in the United States.
Later entering the private sector in corporate communications & marketing, she also served on the Board of Hunter Medical Research Institute, the University of Newcastle Research Associates and Hunter Manufacturers’ Association, prior to entering politics when she was installed as Labor’s candidate for Newcastle in 2007.
