Peter fegan

Whether you’re a tomato sauce fan, keen on onions or American mustard, everyone’s got an opinion on the best way to have a democracy sausage on election day.

Next month Australians will head to the polling booths and one thing’s for sure: eating a democracy sausage is always on the cards.

Peter Fegan, filling in for Scott Emerson on 4BC Drive, questioned guests today on how they have their democracy sausage.

Here’s some answers:

  • Labor MP Tanya Plibersek – prefers “squishy bread”, onions, tomato sauce and a touch of hot English mustard
  • QLD Transport Minister Mark Bailey – onion, no sauce
