An internal investigation has been launched at Brisbane Airport after a security breach at its domestic terminal. 

It’s understood a group of passengers refused to comply with directions at a security checkpoint yesterday afternoon.

It triggered an evacuation of the entire southern end of the terminal, meaning everyone had to be re-screened.

Brisbane Airport said there was no threat to travellers but 33 flights were delayed as a result.
