Brisbane City Council is expanding its Resilient Clubs Program, providing rooftop solar to more clubs.

The $400,000 commitment to the initiative will help community clubs save money and reduce emissions.

The program is planned to be rolled out across two years and service all clubs which have in-use playing fields during the period.

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner told Neil Breen a further 20 clubs will soon receive funding.

“We’re working with those clubs to help bring down their power costs, become more sustainable.

“If they can spend less on electricity, that’s more that goes into the sport.”
