Immigration Minister’s ‘out’ to end Djokovic visa saga

Neil Breen comments

Neil Breen says the Immigration Minister now has enough reason to end Novak Djokovic’s visa saga once and for all.

The world number one took to Instagram yesterday to correct “misinformation” on the timeline of his COVID-19 infection.

In a statement, he conceded incorrect information had been provided on his travel declaration – a mistake he attributed to his support team.

He also admitted to attending an interview and photoshoot on December 18, while knowingly positive for COVID-19.

“The fact that he’s flouted COVID-19 conventions and practices, that are practices the world over, should be enough,” Neil said.

“The government’s obviously looking for an out.

“They don’t know how to get out because they’ve got legal problems, they’re worried about being taken back to court and everything.

“But now that Djokovic himself has made those admissions, that is enough.”
