Well here we go again. Here are my fearless predictions for the 2010 NRL season.
Peter Knights
Where Are They Now? Hawthorne legend, Peter Knights, has a few feathers in his cap, including being appointed the first coach of the Brisbane Bears – without having had any coaching experience! 4BC Sports Today quizzes Peter as to how his coaching career developed from that point.
Blacks A Fake win
Natalie Rassmussen has recently faced a race of her life, accompanied by her partner, Blacks A Fake. She luckily scored her fourth Interdominion win in a very close race. 4BC Sports Today speak to Natalie about her incredible win and what the future holds for Blacks A Fake.
QRU finance issue
QRU’s recent financial woes have suggested that they are running out of money. It is now apparent that a cash bailout from the Australian Rugby Union. Tony Shaw, president of the Brothers Club, chats to 4BC Sports Today shedding some light on the effect of these problems.
Cricket cancellation
Whilst Australians have been a little conscious of travelling overseas to play sport in the light of terrorist threats, it seems that a party of up-and-coming Indian cricketers are thinking the same thing when coming to Australia. 4BC Sports Today speaks to Bruce Adams, the organiser of this recently cancelled tour.

There is a heated debate in the Sports Today studio which is joined by Mike Coleman. With the World Club Challenge underway, the team analyses whether or not it is good for the game. Is this a true test of who is the best club in the world, or is it a farce?

Where are they now? Always looking forward to the next goal, Glynis Nunn-Cearns, has quite a number of achievements behind her. As Australia’s first Olympic Heptathlon Champion, she shares her life as a fulltime worker and mother, whilst coaching a squad on the side. Glynis speaks to 4BC Sports Today.

They Think We Are Fools
Psaltis Blog - Excuse me while I jump on my soapbox once again.
When are the TV Stations going to treat Brisbane audiences with the respect they deserve? It is disgraceful that just because there is a one hour time difference between us and the Southerners that we have to watch sport on an hour delay.
Indigenous All Stars
The Harvey Norman inaugural rugby league All Star’s match takes place this weekend at the Gold Coast. Coinciding with the 2nd anniversary of Rudd’s apology to the stolen generation and with one team comprising of entirely indigenous players, Big Phil meets up with Wendell Sailor, Jharal Yow Yeh and Scott Prince for a chat.
Mason bucks Knights
Sports Today: Renegade powerhouse forward Willie Mason has found a new NRL home, the North Queensland Cowboys. Mason signed with the Cowboys on a one year deal. Coleman, Psaltis and Maurice analyse the new deal.
Norma Fleming
Continuing the successful 'Where are they now?' segment, 4BC Sports Today chat to Norma Fleming, who was QLD's very first female Olympic gold medal winner. Taking part in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, Norma and her team beat Great Britain, to win the 100m relay. Norma relates facts about her lack of training and how she was the 'shy little girl from the bush'.
"Mr Olympics"
Phil Coles knows the Olympic Games like no other having spent 50 years working with them in many guises. Sports Today invite Phil to shed some light on the focal points of his career, which include starting as a competitive kayaker in 1960, the Munich terrorist incident in '72 to his time spent as an Olympic official with the IOC.
Bernie Pramberg retires
Bernie Pramberg has been around Australian Sport forever and a day, ranging from a stint as a rugby league referee through to writing a host of sport columns. Unfortunately for the public, after 33 years, Bernie has decided to retire from the Courier Mail. Bernie reminisces with Sports Today about the fondest memories of his career.
Dirk Tazelaar
Dirk Tazelaar talks of 11 years worth of cricket for Queensland and his time spent in the Surrey team in England. He tells Sports Today how he managed to juggle his cricket career alongside his building trade and advocates 20/20 cricket and how it is an excellent introduction to the sport.

Where are the now, the all new Sport’s Today show with Ian Maurice and Peter Psaltis catch up with former Australian professional rugby league footballer and coach Noel Kelly, who has recently been named amongst the country's finest footballers of the 20th century.

A sensational debut
Queensland and Australian halfback Will Genia had a sensational debut for the Wallabies, with a 21-6 trouncing over the Springbok. The talented 21-year-old joins Sports Today to talk about success on the big stage.
David Gallop
It's been a turbulent year for the NRL, with a spate of player scandals threatening to tarnish the code. However David Gallop is optimistic about the future of the game. Sports Today discuss the positives of the 2009 season with the NRL boss.
A talented youngster
Will Genia first played for the Queensland Reds as an ambitious 16-year-old. A few short years later Will has now been selected to play for the Wallabies. Reds coach Phil Mooney joins Sports Today to discuss the selection of his talented youngster.
Broncos v Bennett
Sports Today talks with Bronco’s coach, Ivan Henjak, ahead of Friday nights game. In what is tipped to be one of the all time great finals match ups, where the Broncos will face former master coach Wayne Bennett.
Bathurst 1000
Sports Today catch up with defending Bathurst champion Craig Lowndes ahead of this weekends Bathurst 1000. Lowndes with co-driver Jamie Whincup are setting out to become the first drivers in history to win the race four years in a row.
