Rudd told me "don't bag us"

4BC Mornings: "It's time for the gloves to come off. Labor's veteran pension offer is rort."

These are the words Retired Air Force Officer Peter Criss used to describe his feelings about Labor's DFRDB- Defence Force Retirement & Death Benefits Scheme during a discussion about veteran pension offerings from the major political parties are offering in this coming election.

Criss tells Greg Cary he approached Kevin Rudd in person to raise concerns that their current pension scheme did nothing for the 200 000 plus servicemen and ex-servicemen.

When threatening to raise his concerns publicly, Criss says Rudd told him "Don't bag us. If you do, we'll pull up the drawbridge and you'll get nothing."
