Redlands on Stradbroke bridge

4BC Summer Drive: The release of state documents from 1982 has revealed the then government's willingness to investigate the possibility of building a bridge linking Cleveland with Stradbroke Island.

The plan was controversial back then and the Newman government says the idea is not on its agenda today.

Summer Drive visited the issue with Redland City Councillor Craig O'Gilvie, who represents Stradbroke Island and Cleveland, and Redland City Mayor Karen Williams.

Both tell Mark Braybrook the idea really doesn't have any legs as far as they're concerned.
