I started in Radio at 4BH in the 70’s.

My first announcing job was at 4GY Gympie. In the bush as it was described we did it all in terms of helping the Radio Station to run effectively.

I was on air doing the afternoon shift and also had to compile and read the Local News, from there it was to 4Ak Toowoomba to do drive and News.

I joined 4BC in the News Room  and  as part of the job description had to do two midnight to dawn shifts one week and one the second week.

The rest of my time working at 4BC was spent as a cadet Journalist, attending press conferences, compiling and reading the afternoon news bulletins on air.

I moved to 4BK  after twelve months at BC to host Weekend Breakfast and after a short period became the Drivetime host 3 to 6pm.

After a couple of years on BK I was offered a job on 3UZ Melbourne hosting 7pm to 10pm.

During my years in the industry I have also worked at 4GR Toowoomba, 4IP Brisbane, 2UW Sydney hosting a variety of On-Air shifts.

I returned to Brisbane in the Mid 80”s and began working again at 4BK on Drive.

I rejoined 4BC in 1993 when the station went “Talk “ hosting a variety of shifts.
