Arrest, Kowanyama: An 18-year-old man has been charged with two counts of serious assault following an incident in Pindi Street overnight. The man was allegedly armed with two knives when he allegedly threatened serious harm on another man just after 9.30pm. The man was arrested and will appear in the Kowanyama Magistrates Court this morning. No one was injured during the incident.

Armed robbery, Nerang: Police are investigating the armed robbery of a vehicle at Nerang overnight. Around 9.45pm the victim was driving on Gilston Road when he was overtaken by another vehicle, which stopped in front causing him to also stop his vehicle. Two men have exited the suspect vehicle armed with baseball bats and threatened the victim before physically removing him from the vehicle. The pair then drove off in the blue 2008 model Subaru WRX Impreza sedan. The offenders are described as being of Caucasian appearance and aged in their late 20s early 30s. One man is of a solid build with short dark hair and a silver chain bracelet. The other man is described as having a proportionate build, shoulder length straight blonde hair and a short blonde/ginger goatee beard and was wearing a white t-shirt, baggy blue jeans and an off-white baseball cap.


Arrest for Unlawful Wounding, Logan: A 32-year-old man will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on one count of Acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm following the unlawful wounding of a 42-year-old man on the weekend. The man allegedly became aggressive towards the victim and then allegedly glassed him using a broken bottle. The victim sustained serious injuries to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment. As a result of police investigations the man was arrested yesterday and will appear in court today.
