Armed robbery, Palm Beach: Gold Coast detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a Palm Beach liquor store last evening. Around 7.55 a man entered the Townson Avenue business, produced a knife and threatened a male employee before fleeing with a sum of cash. He is described as approximately 180cms tall with a proportionate build, and was wearing dark denim jeans, a dark hooded jumper and had his face covered. Appeal for witnesses, fatal crash, Forest Glen: Forensic Crash investigators are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle crash at Forest Glen yesterday. A 20-year-old Beerwah man died when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on the Eudlo Creek Bridge, Bruce Highway around 6am. Officers would like to talk to anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the motorcycle prior to 6am. The bike is described as a black 2008 Suzuki and was travelling northbound on the highway. Armed robbery charge, Woree: Cairns police have charged a 26-year-old local man with armed robbery and stealing following the alleged robbery of a Woree liquor store on September 12. It will be alleged a man armed with a knife stole alcohol from the Toogood Road store around 4pm. No one was injured and the man is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today.
